Sonetel’s revenues have grown with about 300% from December 2011 to May 2012.
From April to May revenues grew with 36%.
Sonetel now has paying customers in 115 countries and registered company accounts in more than 200 countries.
The number of registered, activated company accounts was today 40,555. And we are have about 200 new customers signing up every day.
The total number of people that have signed up is actually significantly larger, but we have found that some accounts have not been activated, and many accounts get blocked for suspected fraud attempts. Naturally it doesn’t make sense to count these – which is why the number of registered customer accounts that we will be reporting moving forward will exclude any such accounts .
The exceptional growth has naturally created some challenges for us to keep up with support questions from new customers.
During the last 2 months we have therefore increased our support team with 400%!
This implies that we have a number of great new talents on the team – that are still a bit new in the game. So we may still need to ask for your patience in getting responses from our support team. We currently get about 2,000 emails per month to our support team – mainly with questions about how things work, or what the price is – but since people can use our service in any environment with any type of 3rd party phones, behind any type of firewalls etc, there are naturally situations where new problems occur that need to be investigated and resolved by our engineering team. So we are resolving these “special cases” one by one, so that new customers never will need to experience the same problem.
